Benerail is a spin-off from The Belgian and Dutch national railway, well established yet very ambitious. Our main office is located in Antwerp, with flex in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Brussels. We connect remotely and in person.
about the team:
You will be part of the Agent Success Team, a team that is focused on assisting travel agents in implementing our APIs. As part of this dynamic team, your focus will be on delivering top-notch quality and support for our customers. The team operates as a fully t-shaped team in which each member actively contributes to the customer lifecycle:
- Analysis and development of new features,
- Analysing and solving incidents and problems/bugs,
- Test automation: running & maintenance,
- Automate implementation support & reduce lead time,
- Monitoring & alerting
about the job:
As a developer, you are involved to varying degrees into all aspect of the development process, from refinement of user stories to testing. You attend and participate actively to all usual Scrum ceremonies and remain focused on the goals of the team and the organization. While your main tasks will consist in implementing & maintaining functionalities in the code, you are involved in design & architecture discussions, and can handle some tasks outside your core skills. You are comfortable with the iterative process for delivery that go with a Scrum/agile approach.

about you:
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has a passion for Java
- Has knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot and hibernate
- Has knowledge of Generics and Lambdas
- Has knowledge of VUE JS framework and other FE related languages
- Has knowledge of Unit Testing
- Has worked in Scrum/Agile teams and is enthusiastic on the methodology
- Masters English as the working language
- Has knowledge of and is interested in working with: REST APIs (JSon, Swagger/OpenAPI, …), Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, SQL-databases
- Can speak Dutch and/or French (not a must, but a nice to have)
- Takes pride in creating consistent high quality code, based on best practices
- Is flexible to travel to Antwerp on a regular basis (~1 day a week)
